Outside

There's nothing like standing out in the cool, autumn morning with the warm sun on my face. Little Ben is happiest outside, which helps me to better enjoy my day because I am also happiest outside. This is something I regularly forget. If I'm having a bad day, I just need to step outside and take a deep breath of fresh air, and I'm a different person. Take a minute and just enjoy what is going on outside your house right now, rain or shine. Doesn't that help?

I can promise the outside is far better than the inside at the moment. I'm in the middle of a power struggle with my darling daughter. So maybe I should go out and take a breath.

some days I can be in the worst mood. Tyler will ask when was the last time I left the house. Then I have to think for a momment and then realize I haven't left the house. Sometimes I let a few days go by without leaving the house. When I do I can't believe how much it makes me feel refreshed and in a better mood. I mean just stepping outside when I say leave the house.

I agree with needing a wiff of fresh air to feel better. But I just open a window and breathe. Then I send the boys outside and happily watch them from our big, picture-window. That way, they get their outside needs met, and I don't sit on cold pavement, freezing my buns. Yes, we need a porch bench.

Do you think Ben will love the snow? It's coming soon to a lawn near you.

You said it! It is beautiful out here today. We spent the whole morning at the park.
