Miriam has been leaving me little surprises on my bed lately. After we put her to bed, she sneaks into my room and plays fairy. The first night I found a rock. When I first found it, I wondered, "why on earth is there a rock in my bed?" The next morning, a smiling Miriam asked me if I had found the "treasure" she left me.
Miriam adds such magic and happiness to my life. Because of her, I always have fresh flowers on my counter. These little moments, make me think of the story my mom often tells of my sister Jessie. When she was very young she put a single rose petal on the doorstep of each house on the street. I wonder if anyone noticed their gifts? It seems that there are many little moments in our lives that could bring us joy, if we just opened up enough to see them. What are some of the little things the children in your life have helped you to see?

She's so sweet.:) She must have gotten that from someone- you perhaps? :) That is just cute.
So are the pictures of the kiddos playing with the neighbors. :)
Ah, the little gift treasures. Then the intense anticipation as you wait for your grown-up to find them. Yes, I suppose I do share that little trait with my oldest niece. Pretty sweet, aren't we? hee hee
That is so lovely, the way she saw the magic and treasure of a rock and designed such a special way to share it with you.
Right now, Malcolm shows me that there is music to be made - everywhere.
So great to see you on our visit.
Miriam is such a good girl! She is one of those that uplift everyone around her.
My boys can't walk past a flower without picking it for me or Sara. If there are no flowers, its leaves.
Lately Drewby has been the sweetest. He tell me to put my head down, and when I do he plants a big wet one on my cheek. It melts my heart every time!
