We have the key to our new house!!! I can't believe that we have a house. I'm not so excited about moving all my stuff over there, but I'm very excited about someday being in there. Any suggestions on how to make large objects disappear from one location and move to another without acutally having to move those objects would be very helpful.
I am looking at paint samples and such. I get to paint the house any color I want (within reason of course) because it's ours. Did I say that we have a house? Crazy! We'd love to hear some favorite paint colors. I'm so excited!!!

Our room has a PURPLE wall that I don't really care for. It will hopefully be deep green...or maybe brown soon. Actually it's not the purple I don't like- it's the SPONGE effect. Don't do that. Unless you really like it. Then you can I guess. :) Aarons room is two tone light greens and I really like it. Noah and Gabes room is a light yellow- that's nice and sunny. Then our kitchen has that deep burgandy red wall that I have really enjoyed. My advice would be: 1- if you can't find the color you want at one place try another place. They really have a lot of different colors out there. 2- most places will give you a sample of paint to try or buy for cheap. 3- Paint before you move in if your can. You probably know all this because I think you have painted before? Anyways there's my 2 cents!
Moving big objects from here to there? Now is the time to seriously invest in a magic wand. I don't know their running price, but I bet Spencer could make you one out of some really beautiful wood!
I'm still thinking of your paint. How fun! I love the names of paint colors: Herbal Garden, Tart Apple, Marsh Green, Wildflower Honey, Wild Bamboo, Cool Lava, Orange Zest, and Candied Yam! I would love to be a paint namer someday, or at least meet someone who is. Behr.com has a great website where you can play with all their paint colors. I like that they have Assoiated Whites for their colors.
Should I pack my paint clothes?
I'll probably only paint Miriam's room, and I'd better be done with that and mostly moved into our place before you come. We'll have to think of some fun things to do when you come!!! I've already planned to cook some yummy things for your family during your visit.
what does miriam think of VELVET BLUSH?
Hey Annie- We jumped on the painting bandwagon! Our room is now Gaden Gate and Sawdust. LOL So long to the Purple wall- you served us sorta well... :) The above mentioned are both shades of deep green by the way- a little on the brown green side. I really like it!
Sarah, Miriam wasn't so excited about the white. When I tried to get her excited about the pink she kind of sighed in a "I guess it's okay, but I really wanted all pink" sort of way. Even though it's difficult sometimes, I LOVE that Miriam knows what she wants. Exactly what she wants.
Amber, Yeah!!! New colors. I'm so excited for you.
